Living the Legacy is a dynamic collection featuring the intricate, inspiring stories of those who experienced firsthand the inaugural years of African Americans living on campus and who broke barriers for the generations of William & Mary students to come.
Sallie McBride arrived at William & Mary in 1945. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Spanish Club, German Club, Pi Beta Phi, the Student Association, and YMCA. She also participated in intramural basketball.
