Cam Walker arrived at William & Mary in 1960. During her time as a student, she participated in the Women’s Dorm Association, Kappa Alpha Theta, the Mermettes, and Colonial Echo. She was also named to Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa.
During her 30-plus years at William & Mary, Ewell fought on behalf of equal pay for women, contributed to the development of the international studies curriculum, and received the Thomas Jefferson Award and the Commonwealth of Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award.
Yvonne Smith-Jones arrived at William & Mary in 1985, earning a Master of Arts of Education, an Education Specialist Degree, and a Doctorate of Education by 1997.
