Mardie MacKimm, W&M Class of 1955

Mardie MacKimm arrived at William & Mary in 1951. During her time at William & Mary, MacKimm participated in Pi Beta Phi, the Colonial Echo, Panhellenic Council, Political Science Forum, Pep Club and Philosophy Club. She was also a President’s Aide and was a member of Mortar Board.

Audra Mallow, W&M Class of 1990

Audra Mallow arrived at William & Mary in 1986. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Chi Omega, the Ski Club, Student Alumni Council, Intramurals, the Swimming Club, and Study Abroad. She was also a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team her freshman year.

Sue Manix, W&M Class of 1979

Sue Manix arrived at William & Mary in 1975. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Athletic Association, Panhellenic Council, and Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.

Michele Mason, W&M Class of 1996

Michele Mason arrived at William & Mary in 1992. During her time at William & Mary, she was a member of the Women’s Soccer Team, participated in the Black Students Organization, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Mason was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

Sallie McBride, W&M Class of 1949

Sallie McBride arrived at William & Mary in 1945. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Spanish Club, German Club, Pi Beta Phi, the Student Association, and YMCA. She also participated in intramural basketball.

Kyle McQuillan, W&M Class of 2017

Kyle McQuillan arrived at William & Mary in 2013. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Kappa Delta and Student Conduct. Additionally, she was a member of the crew team during her freshman year and a member of the club lacrosse team her junior and senior years.

Zella Mervis, W&M Class of 1947

Zella Mervis arrived at William & Mary in 1943. During her time as a student, she was involved in a variety of activities, including Balfour-Hillel, service organization Kappa Chi Kappa, and the German and Spanish Clubs.

Betty Miller, W&M Class of 1949

Betty Miller arrived at William & Mary in 1945. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Pi Beta Phi.

Stephanie Murphy, W&M Class of 2000

Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy arrived at William & Mary in 1996. During her time at William & Mary, Murphy interned with the Scrowcroft Group, joined Chi Omega, and completed an honors thesis in economics.

Andrew Ojeda, W&M Class of 2012

Andrew Ojeda arrived at William & Mary in 2008. During his time at William & Mary, Ojeda worked as a research assistant and fellow on the Lemon Project, a research initiative on the College’s role in perpetuating slavery and racial discrimination. Additionally, he was involved with Alma Mater Productions and a sitcom called Ghostburg on William & Mary TV.

Michael Powell, W&M Class of 1985

Michael K. Powell arrived at William & Mary in 1981 on an ROTC Scholarship. During his time at William & Mary, he served as President of Theta Delta Chi, was a member of the Men’s Gymnastics Team, and became the first black commander of the ROTC.

Justin Reid, W&M Class of 2009

Justin Reid arrived at William & Mary in 2005. During his time at William & Mary he participated in the African Cultural Society, was a President’s Aide, served as president of the W&M Chapter of the NAACP, served as a Resident Assistant and an Admission Tour Guide, and helped to establish the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

Sybil Shainwald, W&M Class of 1948

Sybil Shainwald arrived at William & Mary in 1944 at the age of 16. She was involved in the Flat Hat, Colonial Echo, International Relations Club, Spanish Club, Balfour-Hillel and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

Yvonne Smith-Jones, Class of 1987, 1993, 1997

Yvonne Smith-Jones arrived at William & Mary in 1985, earning a Master of Arts of Education, an Education Specialist Degree, and a Doctorate of Education by 1997.

Connie Swiner, W&M Class of 1981

Connie Swiner III arrived at William & Mary in 1977. During his time at William & Mary he served as the President of Alpha Phi Alpha, and was a member of the Biology Club, Ebony Expressions, the Black Students Organization, and the Affirmative Action Committee.

Beverly Thompson, W&M Class of 1999

Beverly Thompson arrived at William & Mary in 1994, four years after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Master’s degree in Computer Science. In her five years at the College, Thompson forged lasting relationships with faculty and completed a dissertation as a part of her program.

Jeff Trammell arrived at William & Mary in 1969. During his time as a student, he played on the Men's Basketball Team and was involved in Young Democrats, Lambda Chi Alpha, and the Botetourt Bibliographical Society.

Olympia Trumbower arrived at William & Mary in 2004. During her time at William & Mary, she participated in Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, International Relations Club, and Student Alumni Council. She also served as an Admission Tour Guide and an Orientation Aide.
